This is cat

December is always a push for small businesses to get those sales in. Instead of badgering you all to buy my lovely illustrations (but also please don't forget to buy my lovely illustrations, t-shirts, bags and goodies too), I thought I'd dedicate my Insta feed to the festive adventures of 'This is Cat'.

Cat is a collimation of my own cats, past and present. Most will know one of my current cats Smudge! who appears in illustrations and the odd post here and there. He has been a large influence for Cat. I've been looking at finding some time to really get to play with characters and illustration development. A lot of the time when you are doodling you forget to see where these little characters to draw could go next. Just a case of time and trying to get as much out as possible.

I've been drawing Cat for years (decades) in different forms. I go through my note books from work and see him crop up every so often. Always big, fluffy and napping.
